"Creativity flourishes in an atmosphere of safety and acceptance."
Julia Cameron, The Artists Way.

With courage and conviction I stepped onto a new path by myself after twenty five years of marriage. Leaving was more about me than about my relationship. I longed to spend time alone. I lived in the small spiritual community of Halcyon on the Central Coast of California and experienced a gift of fourteen years in nature and quiet. Halcyon was the perfect space for reflection, prayer, meditation and renewal..  It was as if I had been on a class 5 river rapids most of my life and then suddenly I was floating in a serene pool of water.  I wanted to float forever.  It appears that God had other plans because I am happily remarried and living in Los Angeles.  It wasn't until Mark that my creativity began to flourish and it is from this deep breath of Life that I now write daily.

Sherri
I love the website that you have created. I like the dark background and the pictures are beautiful. The site is user friendly and easy to use. I want to watch some of your favorite movies and the clips are fun and inspirational. I like your story and responses to questions asked of The Ordinary Sage.

I can't think of greater wisdom than to stop, breathe and choose what I put my attention on. This is especially true when I'm triggered and there is a lot of energy flowing. I want to focus on what I want. I know that you know this and I'm grateful you are sharing your journey with us.

Love always

I just have gone through your whole website and have settled on this page.
I totally agree with what Rodger said...

What I don't agree with is your last line where you say, "It wasn't until Mark that my creativity began to flourish and it is from this deep breath of Life that I now write daily."

Next year I will have known you for 30 years. During that time, I have witnessed your unbelievable creativity time and time again. What I haven't witnessed; however, is your sharing your wisdom in writing for the rest of us to bask in. I've been waiting at least 25 years for that.

That part is where I think the credit can go to Mark. It seems that it wasn't until after the two of you got together that I began to notice that you were able to express your knowing more in your way of being. You became more like, to me, at peace... like your Buddha with the water ball. It makes my heart VERY happy to see you this happy.

As always, with absolute love, affection and admiration, Laura

P. S. I'm being subtle here... I can HARDLY WAIT for you to share in writing your other hummingbird experiences! :)
